Frequently asked questions

What is Bookle Covers?

Bookle Covers is a free daily book guessing game. You see a book cover broken into a handful of giant pixels and have six tries to name the book. Every wrong guess or skip makes the cover sharper.

What do the colours mean?

Green means you got it. Yellow means a wrong book, but by the right author. Red is a wrong book, and black is a skip. After three misses you get the author's initials, and after five the first letter of the title.

When is there a new cover?

Every day at midnight, your local time. Everyone gets the same cover on the same day, so you can compare results with friends.

Which books are in the game?

Well-known covers people recognise: bestsellers, classics, school favourites and BookTok hits. There are 116 covers in the rotation, and every one was checked by hand to be the right cover for the right book.

Is it the same as Bookle?

It's Bookle's sister game. Bookle is the daily five-letter literary word game; Bookle Covers is the daily guess-the-book game. Each keeps its own streak, and you can switch between them at the top of the page.

Do I need an account?

No. It's free with no signup. Your streak and stats are saved on your own device.
