BookTwin ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use booktwin.co and how we use it.
Information we collect
We do not require an account to use BookTwin. The books you enter to get recommendations are sent to our recommendation engine to generate results but are not linked to your identity or stored against a personal profile. We use standard analytics (page views, general location, device type) to understand how the site is used and improve it.
Cookies and local storage
We use local storage in your browser to save things like your Bookle game progress. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Photos you upload
If you use Roast My Bookshelf, the photo you choose is resized in your browser and sent to OpenAI, whose AI model reads the book spines and writes your roast. BookTwin does not store the photo. OpenAI processes it under its API data policies. The book titles you type into our recommendation tools are processed by OpenAI in the same way. A share link for your roast contains only the text of the roast and the book titles we read — never the photo.

BookTwin is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Links to Amazon are affiliate links — if you make a purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of Amazon or any other third-party site we link to.
